CDKL5 Deficiency Disorder is a rare genetic mutation that prevents the body from making essential proteins needed for brain development. 90% of the individuals affected with this disorder will develop seizures before 3 months of age. They will also struggle to achieve basic motor, vision, and other basic developmental milestones.

Join CDKL5 Canada in raising awareness in the month of June when the following landmarks will be illuminated!

June 17, 2023
CN Tower – Illumination will begin at sunset.  A standard light show will run for 8 minutes at the top of every hour as it does every night.

Toronto Sign – The Toronto Sign will illuminated lime green for CDKL5 Deficiency Disorder

Ottawa Sign – The Ottawa Sign will be illuminted lime green for CDKL5 Deficiency Disorder

Niagara Falls – Both the Canadian and American Falls will be illuminated at 10:00 p.m. for fifteen (15) minute duration.

The Peace Bridge – Light show commence at dusk and continue until 1:00 a.m. (EST).

The Calgary Tower – Illumination will begin at sunset and will be illuminated for the duration of the evening.

Sylvan Lake Lighthouse, NS – Illumination will occur from dusk to dawn on June 17th.

Here are some ways you can help to raise awareness for CDKL5 Deficiency Disorder:

• Wear a splash of lime green.

• Take photos of the Illuminated landmarks and share on social media: Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts. Use our hashtags:  #CDKL5 #CDKL5Canada #RawTalk #CDKL5AwarenessMonth 

• Share your CDKL5 journey by participating in CDKL5 Raw Talk for the month of June.

• Donate your Facebook profile photo to raising awareness of CDKL5 Awareness Month by adding our awareness month
  frame to your favorite photo, the frame can be found our Facebook page.

• Follow us on social media:  Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube.
